Since 2016, UCI Esports has supported scholarship esports teams to compete in intercollegiate and amateur competition. We currently host teams for League of Legends, Overwatch 2, and VALORANT. We actively recruit elite esports athletes who also possess a strong academic background and a desire to earn a valuable degree at UC Irvine. Athletes receive financial scholarships, academic support, career development opportunities, team building activities, access to the UCI Esports Arena, and many other perks.
