Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our camps to fully-virtual programs. Thank you for understanding!

Applications are LIVE, but the schedules and bios are still from last year’s camp. As we are ready to release more details, we will update this page and alert all accepted applicants.

The UCI Esports League of Legends Bootcamp is a summer program for high-level League of Legends players who aspire to compete. This camp is designed for talented League of Legends players looking to translate, heighten and broaden their skills to a collegiate or professional level. Our target audience for all of our camps are students in or just leaving high school.

Players can expect to:

  • Receive guidance and mentorship from UCI’s scholarship League of Legends team and coaching staff
  • Earn experience in coordinated strategic play and effective team-wide communication
  • Gain exposure to training regimens, analytical tools and research methodologies used at the professional level

We are running all camp activities through Discord. Although applicants from all time zones are welcome to apply, our camp staff and activities will be operating on Pacific Time. To help set expectations, we’re preparing content to fill roughly 10:00am – 4:00pm PT each day (with breaks), although final schedules are subject to change.

We are currently planning to offer one session, Mon – Fri, June 21-25, 2021. Depending on demand and coaching staff availability, we may add additional sessions.

The base cost for the camp will be $399 for the week. Due to the team-based nature of the game, we will be sorting individual applicants into 5-person teams, and applicants may also choose to register with friends or teammates. For each additional applicant signing up together, we will offer a $25 discount.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and due by May 16 or until we fill all slots. If accepted to the camp, you will be notified before June 1, and full payment will be due by June 6. If you have any questions about our program or this form, please contact esports@uci.edu.
